As most mainstream media is hyping the new book by Bob Woodward about the Trump White House, former independent counsel Ken Starr is out with an explosive new memoir of his own.

Fox News reports in “Contempt: A Memoir of the Clinton Investigation,” Starr writes he considered pursuing perjury charges against then-first lady Hillary Clinton after her “preposterous” deposition with investigators in 1995.

Starr deposed both Bill and Hillary Clinton about the suicide of White House adviser Vince Foster and the Whitewater land deal investigation.

Starr said Hillary claimed “over a hundred times” that she “did not recall or remember” issues related to the cases.

He added, “Her strained performance struck us as preposterous.”

Starr suggested he eventually decided against pursuing criminal charges against Clinton because it would have been hard to prove she lied.
